N'Golo Kanté
The best midfielder in Premier League history
Let's talk a look at N'Golo Kanté's meteoric rise:
- 1991 - Born in Paris, to Malian parents.
- 2001 - Kanté joins JS Suresnes at age 10.
- 2010 - He joins National 2 side US Boulogne, where he makes his professional debut at the age of 21.
- 2013 - Kanté joins Ligue 2 SM Caen and helps promote the club to Ligue 1 during the 13/14 season.
- 2015 - He joins Premier League side Leicester City for 9 million Euros who barely survived relegation in the season earlier.
- 2016 - Ngolo Kante and Leicester City shock the world and win the Premier League title in what is most likely the biggest underdog story in a major league football season with Sir Alex Ferguson personally mentioning him as the best player in the Premier League. In the following transfer window Kante then joins Chelsea for 35 million euros capping off an excellent season in which he also made his international debut for France, representing them at that year's Euros.
- 2017 - Wins the Premier League title again with Chelsea in a record breaking season for the club and his efforts were acknowledged being named as the PFA player of the year as well as being named the 2017 French player of the year.
- 2018 - Wins the 2018 Fifa World Cup with France in Russia and the Fa Cup with Chelsea.
- 2019 - Wins the Europa League with Chelsea even after struggling with injury during the latter half of the 18/19 season.
- 2020 - Reaches the Fa Cup Final with Chelsea after an extended season due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
- 2021 - Wins the Uefa Champions with Chelsea helping them win their 2nd UCL title with incredible performances in the knockout stages
- 2022 - Reaches the the Carabao and Fa Cup finals with Chelsea but unfortunately loses both of them to Liverpool
- 2023 - Suffers a grade III hamstring injury and is out for the majority of the season as Chelsea fall to 12th during a tumultuous season and in the end Chelsea decided to let Kante leave on a free after seemingly having a deal in place, he then joins Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad
